Bedyddiadau, Priodasau ac Angladdau
Bedyddiadau
Mae’r Eglwys yng Nghymru’n credu bod plant yn rhodd werthfawr gan Dduw. Mae eich plentyn yn arbennig, a gobeithio y bydd ei fedydd yn nodi dechrau taith ryfeddol gyda’ch plentyn.
Gallwch gael eich bedyddio fel plentyn neu fel oedolyn. Cafodd Iesu ei hun ei fedyddio yn Afon Iorddonen, ac mae llawer o oedolion sy’n cael eu bedyddio yn gwneud hynny fel cyfle i’w ddilyn a datgan eu ffydd Gristnogol yn gyhoeddus.
Gallwch gael eich bedyddio yn y naill neu'r llall o'n dwy eglwys. Cysylltwch â'r Ficer os dymunwch drefnu bedydd.
Priodasau a Bendithion Priodasau
Credwn fod priodas yn anrheg gan Dduw a bod priodi yn ymrwymiad hardd, personol ac ysbrydol. Byddem wrth ein bodd yn eich helpu i wneud diwrnod eich priodas, neu fendithio priodas, mor gofiadwy â phosibl.
Mae ein dwy eglwys wedi'u trwyddedu i gynnal gwasanaethau priodas. Mae gofynion cyfreithiol y gellir eu darllen ar Wefan yr Eglwys yng Nghymru. Cysylltwch â’r Ficer os ydych am drefnu priodas neu fendith priodas.
Angladdau
Mae trefnu angladd yn gallu bod yn anodd a heriol iawn, yn enwedig pan fyddwch chi’n ffarwelio â rhywun sydd wedi bod yn rhan fawr o’ch bywyd.
Rydym yma i’ch helpu a’ch cefnogi chi, nid yn unig wrth gynllunio’r gwasanaeth angladd ei hun, ond cyhyd ag y byddwch chi ein hangen ni wedyn.
Baptisms (Christenings), Weddings and Funerals
Baptisms (Christenings)
We believe that children are a precious gift from God. Your child is special, and we hope that their baptism, or christening as it’s sometimes called, will prove to be the start of an amazing journey with him.
You can be baptised either as a child or as an adult. Jesus himself was baptised in the River Jordan, and many adults who are baptised do so as an opportunity to follow in his footsteps and publicly declare their Christian faith.
You can be baptised at either of our two churches. Please contact the vicar if you wish to arrange a baptism.
Weddings and Wedding Blessings
We believe marriage is a gift from God and that getting married is a beautiful, personal and spiritual commitment. We would love to help you make your wedding day, or blessing of a marriage, as memorable as possible.
Both our churches are licenced to perform marriage services. There are legal requirements which can be read on the Church in Wales Website.
Having completed the form and sent it to us, you might like to look at Bro Tudno's calendar to see which dates are likely to be available. After the calendar opens, click on the [Year] button to see what is going on in the ministry area around the time you wish to be married.
A wedding already scheduled will be highlighted in a red (Holy Trinity) or green (St, Tudno's) bar annotated Wedding or Marriage. No names will be published.
A wedding date cannot be guaranteed until you have confirmation from the vicar.
If you would like to have a wedding blessing or are unsure if you are eligible to be married in one of our churches, please contact the vicar.
Funerals
Organising a funeral can be an incredibly difficult and challenging thing to do, especially so when you’re having to say goodbye to someone you love and who has been a big part of your life.
We are here to help and support you, not only in planning the funeral service itself, but for as long as you need us afterwards.
If you have read the information on the Church in Wales' website, you will note that we can arrange a funeral to your requirements, from a simple committal at the graveside or crematorium to a church service with or without a requiem.
If you are (or the deceased was) a regular worshipper in Bro Tudno, then your requirements are probably already known to us. However, if otherwise, we would recommend that, in the first instance, you ask your chosen funeral director to contact us on your behalf.
Graveyards and Cemeteries
There are three burial grounds within the boundary of Bro Tudno:
- St. Tudno's Churchyard;
- St. George's Churchyard;
- the Great Orme Cemetery.
St. Tudno's Churchyard
There are no burial plots left in the churchyard. It may be possible to have a burial or a burial of ashes in an existing family plot where space exists.
St. George's Churchyard
This churchyard is now a garden of remembrance. There are a number of plots still available for the burial of ashes but the deceased should have a significant link with Bro Tudno.
Great Orme Cemetery
This cemetery adjoins St. Tudno's Churchyard and is administered by Conwy Borough Council. Follow the link below to see what can be offered in this cemetery and other cemeteries which are the responsibility of the county borough.
Scattering of Ashes
The scattering of ashes is not permitted in Church in Wales' churchyards.
